About Fix It Plumbing

Forty-four years in Sanford, and still answering the phone.

Fix-It Plumbing Services, Inc. opened in Sanford in 1982. The trucks have changed. The address and the way we quote a job haven’t.

Real people, straightforward answers

A plumbing company, not a brand.

Most of the plumbing you see advertised in Lee County today is a franchise name over a local subcontractor. That’s not a criticism of the plumbers — a lot of them are good — but it means the name on the truck and the person fixing your water heater aren’t the same company, and the price is set somewhere else.

We’re the other thing. One shop, one license, one name on the door since 1982. The person who answers can tell you who’s coming, and the person who comes can tell you what it costs before they start.

That’s the whole pitch. “Real people, straightforward answers” isn’t a slogan somebody wrote for us; it’s a description of what’s left when you take the franchise layer out.

Since 1982

What has and hasn't changed

1982
Fix-It Plumbing Services, Inc. opens in Sanford, North Carolina.

Then
Residential repair work across Sanford and the county, one truck at a time.

Along the way
Commercial accounts, sewer camera equipment, backflow certification, water treatment — added as Lee County’s needs changed.

Now
Eight services, 24/7 emergency dispatch, and the FIP Care membership. Same shop, same license on every invoice.

Have a photo of one of our old trucks, or a decades-old invoice? We’d like to see it.

How we work

Four habits that have outlasted every truck

Price before work

You approve a written number before a wrench turns. If the job changes once we're in, so does the number — and you approve that too.

Show, don't tell

Camera footage, pressure readings, the failed part in your hand. You should never have to take a plumber's word for it.

A person answers

Office hours, it's the office. After hours, it's the on-call plumber. Never a script.

Licensed, on paper

NC Licensed Plumbing Contractor #L.15229, printed on every invoice, so your insurer and your next buyer can check it.
